Product Details

All of the products we sell online are described here. When you are ready to purchase a pass, select a category listed in the Online Store on the  navigation bar to the left. You can learn about regional fares in the PugetPass link that follows, and also by contacting specific transit agencies listed below. We accept VISA and Mastercard credit and debit cards for payment.

PugetPass

PugetPass is the regional pass used for fare payment on King County Metro Transit, including the Waterfront Streetcar and Elliot Bay Water Taxi It is also valid for travel on Metro's regional partner systems: Community Transit (Snohomish County), Everett Transit, Pierce Transit and Sound Transit. PugetPass is available in a variety of fare values and periods. The value of the pass you purchase depends on the specific trip(s) for which you plan to use the pass.  PugetPass is not accepted for Metro's VanPool Program.

All PugetPass denominations can be purchased as a one month pass valid for a specified calendar month, and selected denominations are available for three month (three consecutive calendar months) and twelve month periods. The annual pass is valid for twelve consecutive months and the price is discounted so you get one month free!

King County Metro VanPool/Transit Pass

The monthly value of a Metro VanPool/Transit Pass may be applied towards a Metro VanPool rider's monthly vanpool fare. In addition it allows a vanpool rider to use Metro's bus service, but it is not accepted on other regional transit systems.

King County Metro Reduced Fare Sticker

Reduced Fare Stickers valid for one calendar month or twelve consecutive months may be purchased by individuals with a valid Regional Reduced Fare Permit (available to seniors age 65 and over and eligible persons with a disability). A Reduced Fare Sticker, placed on the permit, is valid anytime, anywhere for travel on regular Metro bus service. Metro Reduced Fare passes are not valid on other regional transit systems.

King County Metro Access Transportation Pass

Anyone registered with Metro's ADA Paratransit or OPTIONS programs may purchase a monthly Access Transportation Pass good for one calendar month at a time. This pass is valid on Access vans and Metro's Center Park bus service, as well as on regular Metro bus service. Metro Access passes are not accepted on other regional transit or paratransit services.

Ship-to-Shore PugetPass

This combination pass is a good choice for Washington State Ferry riders who also use any of the PugetPass regional partner systems for their commute. These passes are valid on specified Washington State Ferry routes for passengers in a vehicle or walk-on passengers. The PugetPass transit value of Ship-to-Shore passes can also be applied towards a Metro VanPool rider's monthly vanpool fare.

King County Metro Ticketbooks

Ticketbooks offer riders the convenience of not having to carry change. Tickets do not expire and are valid anytime on Metro Transit service at face value. Metro tickets are not valid on other regional transit services.

King County Visitor Pass

The Visitor Pass is valid for one day of unlimited travel on all regular and special event Metro service including the Waterfront Streetcar  and Elliot Bay Water Taxi.  This pass can be purchased in advance because it has a "scratch  and ride" design that can be validated for the specific day it is needed.  It can be purchased online, at Metro's two customer service counters, and by calling 624-PASS.  The Visitor Pass is not sold on-board Metro vehicles.  Metro Visitor Passes are not valid on other regional transit systems.

King County Metro Gift Certificates

Gift Certificates are available online in several convenient denominations. In addition you may purchase gift certificates in any denomination you choose by calling 206- 624-PASS (206-624-7277) (TTY 206-684-2029). Gift certificates may be redeemed at Metro Customer Service Offices:

  • Metro Customer Stop: Metro bus tunnel, Westlake Mezzanine, Seattle
  • King Street Center: 201 South Jackson Street, Seattle

Refunds/Replacements/Exchanges

All one month and three month passes and ticketbooks are non-refundable, non-replaceable and non-exchangeable. Metro assumes no responsibility for lost, stolen or misplaced passes.

Annual (12 month) passes can be refunded or replaced, subject to existing refund and replacement policies. For more specific information about the Annual Pass Replacement and Refund policies, please call 206-553-3060 (TTY 206-684-2029).
